- The X's multi - map capability allows for up to 5 separate maps to be programmed onto it. They've been meticulously tuned and created through a labour of love. Each map offers a unique benefit to compliment your Prado.
- The Hlux | Unichip Tuning Box (Ultimate Edition) is completely safe to use - the additional gains found pose no risk to your mechanical components.
What does each Unichip map do?
#1: Anti - Theft Immobilizer Map.
- Unique to the Unichip Module, our Anti - Theft map is designed to deter thieves from stealing your vehicle. Once active, your ignition is able to turn over, but throttle response / input is negated.
- If thieves were to gain access to your keys, they won't be going anywhere soon. The engine's idling sound coupled with 0 throttle response is an effective deterrent.
#2: Stock / Standard Map.
- Your ECU's original file is able to be accessed via the Unichip Module, and has been left completely untouched. This is to ensure that you never have to unplug your Unichip Tuning Box should you need to run engine diagnostics for unrelated component failure.
- The stock map is also a great means of comparison to show off the before / after power difference. Perfect for showing off.
#3) Economy Map.
- Our Economy Map is also another unique edition to the Unichip range. The majority of other tuning boxes / chip tune / remap products & services give you an economy boost through making more efficient use of your engine (performance maps will give you a slight economy boost).
- The Unichip is no different - it'll give you more power lower in the rev range, in order for you to reach cruising speed more efficiently.
- However. The integrated technology in our Economy map also recognises and eliminates your sudden throttle pedal movements, removing the one variable from stopping you attaining the best fuel efficiency - you.
#4) Off - Road / Towing Map.
- Our Off - Road / Towing Map (sometimes referred to as a "high torque" map) is programmed to give your Hilux engine a lot more power lower in the rev range, making towing heavy trailers, sharp inclines and off-roading much more easier to tackle.
#5) Performance Map.
- The Unichip Performance Map is designed to make the absolute most power without compromising your engine's mechanical integrity. Typically, we're able to extract more power from most of our tunes (as advertised). However - asking your engine to give it more than it can handle over a sustained period of time is likely to result in engine failure. The Unichip is tuned across the entire rev range, making your Hilux much more responsive - and the performance tune embodies this.
**Please Note: Unichip Europe's DynoDynamic's 4WD Rolling Road concluded the maximum power output for our Prado was 141.8HP. This is down to the vehicle in question having off-road tyres fitted - increasing rolling road resistance by 22%, thus showing a lower power figure.

I am based in Kenya, Africa. ordered a Plug & Play Unichip for my 100 series Landcruiser 1HD-FTE. Ordering process was brilliant - the guys at Unichip Europe made it so easy for me. I had a few questions which I got answers to straight away. I fitted it myself - took half an hour. I had a question on the day of fitting - and emailed them and I was shocked to receive a reply in less than 5 mins - that's what you call customer service! As for the product, I seriously dont have enough words for it. Just gobsmacked. It has unleashed some serious power on the 1HD-FTE especially at low revs. Car pulls like a train and just keeps going going going. I wish I had done this sooner!

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! Toyota Landcruiser 1hd-fte I sell computer software for a living, digital experience is everything, I talk about it day in, day out to massive enterprises. Unichip have it nailed! Putting the product to one side for the moment, I have been on the fence for the last 6months about this product, looking over forums, facebook groups everywhere for a bad word on this company, I couldnt find one! It clicked when chatting with a person online with the same car on a Facebook group, Unichip reached out and Billy who made contact has been nothing short of an absolute super star in fielding my technical queries about this product, speaking with technians and tuners within Unichip to work out what happens if I do further modifications to my car down the line. I sell "human connections in a digital word" Billy brought that to life. The product turned up two days ahead of when I expected it too. Order placed on the 17th, recieved on the 25th - 5 working days to my door! Jesus. I installed it using the instructions found on the website without any hassles what so ever (I am pretty machanically minded, but it is all plug in and play for the most part). The product, it works, my car is an auto which means if the fuel to the engine isnt cut during gear changes extra stress and gearbox breakages can be caused (look into the competition), Unichip have nailed this part and in my opinion the only ones to do so with a plug in and play kit. Over the half tank of fuel ive used so far, so only 180miles, its up 10% on fuel, so the ROI on this is 5 years. I am expecting a 10year ROI on my solar pannels.... The added economy is one thing, the extra power is just phanominal and it runs clean when doing so too (minimal black smoke, which would be over fueling). Overall im 100% chuffed with both the very professional experience I had from the conversations with the team, and the experience from the product I have had so far. 100% would buy again!
My Land Cruiser accelerates like a sports car....
Bought it based on reviews directly from unichip eu and have it shipped to Cyprus no Dyno customisation just a simple plug and play. After some an intercooler upgrade richard sent me the new maps and i have Uploaded them on the unichip and now My LC100 is accelerates like a sports car! Even though it weights 2.8 tons. Thanks Richard Berg for your support. I hope once you will be able to come to Cyprus we can check it on dyno! Drives and looks great! Hard accelerations makes 4 Wheels spinning! (On 33 inch mud terrains )

Can I install a Unichip plug & play kit with limited / no technical know-how?
Yes. Our kits are designed to be hassle free & simple to install. Locate your ECU, unplug it's existing wiring harness, plug in the Unichip - job done! If you're unsure about the process, our workshop is open Monday - Friday | 9AM - 5PM GMT. Give us a call!
Will I need to purchase a Map Switch, too?
If you're purchasing a "Premium" or "Ultimate" Kit, then yes, you'll need to purchase a Map Switch in order to access our pre-programmed maps. If you're purchasing a "Standard" Kit, you will not need a map switch, as they're programmed to hold just one tuning file. Refer to the product listing's title if you're unsure.
Why should I pay a premium for a Unichip Plug and Play kit?
If you're serious about tuning your vehicle and have shopped about, you'll have definitely noticed the wild west that is the chip tuning industry. The Unichip Module is a multi-processor ECU tuning tool, it is not a chip tuning product. The sheer amount of engine parameters we're able to manipulate means that every single file is meticulously tuned in our in-house rolling road. Unlike some our competitors, our map files are not just increments of the same map, giving you slightly more power every time. Every map is detailed and lives up to each of their individual namesakes. This can take days, or even weeks to perfect these tunes. Couple that with industry-leading product materials used across the range, an anti - theft immobilizer map as standard to all premium / ultimate products and a spectacular after-sales service, and the Unichip Products truly live up to their value. How are your tuning kits different from chip tuning boxes or remaps?
Chip tuning boxes share only a few similarities with the Unichip Module. They'll typically alter just injection timing or injection pressure. The Unichip gives a reputable tuner a myriad of different parameters to manipulate, creating a far superior tune, a much better spirited drive, all while ensure there's 0 risk to your engine's mechanical components. A remap will physically alter / overwrite your existing ECU file. Done correctly, and you'll have access to one map with more power. Done incorrectly, and you risk damaging your engine's mechanical components. These changes are semi-permanent; if your remap is bad, you'll have to take your car back to the manufacturer to gain access back to the existing file, for a hefty price.
Is this product safe for my vehicle's engine?
Yes. Unichip Europe pride themselves in developing remarkable tunes at no cost to your engine's integrity OR mechanical components.
Will this product leave any trace on my engine?
No. If your car is under warranty or kept through a hire purchase agreement, you can rest assured that all Unichip Europe tuning kits will not tamper, change stock/existing ECU files or leave any footprint on your car.
Are your products adapted for my vehicle?
Yes. Every single Unichip plug and play kit has been tuned on the exact make / model that you're purchasing, on our in-house rolling road by our expert tuners.
Is this product easily removable should I wish to?
Yes. Simply unplug and remove the kit from your engine bay / ECU location, plug in your vehicle's stock ECU wiring loom, and it's like we were never there.
How long do your Plug and Play kits take to install?
As a rule of thumb, the majority of our kits take 30 - 45 minutes to install. Most vehicle ECU's are relatively easy to locate. However, some are located underneath / behind the glovebox. If this is the case, we'll provide instructions on how to easily remove the trim with generic tools.
What are your Exchange / Returns / Shipping Policies?
If you're not completely satisfied with your product, you've got 30 days to send it back to us to receive a refund. The bespoke nature of our plug and play kits implies that exchanges aren't applicable. Please ensure that you've correctly identified your engine code and checked your existing ECU connections / ports and cross - reference them to our images provided. There will be a handling fee for any incorrect purchases. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you're unsure; our small workshop team have all been part of the development process, and know these vehicles inside out! There is a shipping fee incurred with all of our products, which will depend on your location. You may find out how much this is during the checkout process (don't worry - it's before you submit your order!). We aim to have your kit assembled, uploaded and quality tested between 3 - 5 working days. All products are sent by a fast delivery courier service.
Does this product come with a warranty?
The Unichip Module itself comes with a 5 year warranty. The quality of the build and the nature of the product means that only 1/400 Unichip Modules are faulty, as pre-determined by Unichip HQ in South Africa. Currently, there is no warranty waiver for the Unichip wiring harnesses. However, we can assure you that every harness is tested and quality checked for any faults before the product is shipped. Unichip Europe pride themselves in not only creating the best driving experience for you, but maintaining this experience for years to come.
