Introduction:

Having been around for more than a century, BMW cars are long-established as one of the world's leading car manufacturers. They have built a reputation for reliability, high performance, and innovative technologies.

If you are one of that 5% of motorists in the UK who are lucky enough to own a BMW, you may be interested to know that there are ways of getting even more horsepower and torque from an already powerful engine of your BMW.

BMW engine tuning kits

Using a bespoke BMW engine tuning kit enables BMW owners to extract the maximum potential from their cars.

Our BMW 330D E46 1999-2002 Standard Edition Tuning Kit is easy to install and comes with one pre-programmed 'Performance' map. This map is designed to give a smoother and more responsive drive - and can add up to 34HP (power) and 73.8ft-lbs (torque).

Our BMW 530D E49 2000-2003 Standard Edition Tuning Kit features one 'Performance' map that can be installed in just a few minutes, and offers gains of up to 25HP and 59ft-lbs of torque.

Our Standard Edition ECU Tuning Kit for the BMW X5 E53 3.0D 2001-2003 is easy to install at home and can boost power by as much as 25HP, and add as much as 59.0 ft-lbs of torque.

All of our tuning kits are extensively tested, safe, and if needed, can be removed without leaving a trace. A wiring harness is also included, as is a 5-year warranty.

So, how come my car isn't already optimised?

This is a question that we come across regularly, and there are several possible reasons.

One of the main reasons is that manufacturers such as BMW have to meet a wide range of legal standards and regulations on emissions, noise, safety, and so forth when producing new cars. This means that they have to stay vigilant on the side of caution rather than pushing things 'to the limit'. The factory/default settings and parameters will often be set in the middle rather than at the top end or maximum.

The second reason is that if they avoid pushing everything to the max, then they won't have the option of releasing 'better' or more powerful models in the future. For example, they could release one where all key parameters were set at 50% and then release a 'better' model where they are all set at 60%. If they just produced one with all settings as high as they could go, then this option would disappear, affecting business purposes.

The Change

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of settings in a car's ECU - some of which affect power/performance and some which don't. Our tuning kits/maps target those that have the most significant impact, without risking mechanical stress.

So, if you are fortunate enough to own a BMW, one of our bespoke BMW tuning kits can help you get even more power and performance from your car.
